Current and former servicemembers who were involuntarily held on active duty beyond an approved separation or retirement date as a direct result of stop loss from Sept. 11, 2001 - Sept. 30, 2009, may be eligible for a Retroactive Stop Loss Special Pay compensation of $500 for each month they were affected. To make a claim, eligible active, retired and former servicemembers, or legally designated beneficiaries, must provide documented proof they were stop lossed with their claim. Family members of deceased service members should contact the appropriate military service for #@*%!istance in filing their claim.

at the American Legion in Colona, Illinois. Sign In is fro 10:30am till Noon.
Last bike in is at 6:00PM
$10 donation per player and we will have door prizes and raffle items. The Legion will be providing food.
The stops are as follows:
Old School Bar and Grill - Fenton, Illinois; Front Street Tap - Annawan, Illinois; Leamens Bar and Grill - Geneseo, Illinois; Skellos Bar and Grill - Cambridge, Illinois; Headquarters Bar and Grill - Coal Valley, Illinois.

As an unfortunate consequence of Operation Iraqi Freedom and America’s war on terror, many children of our active-duty military personnel are now members of single-parent families. In most cases, this also means their chances to attend college have greatly diminished. Children of military personnel killed on active duty are en#@*%!led to receive money toward a college education. But it’s not enough. We are raising funds to ensure that higher education will be a reality for these families.

FUNERAL/INTERMENT MISSION: Tuesday 21 APR 09, Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, 4700 53rd St., Moline, IL./ R.I. National Cemetery.
Rally Point: Farm & Fleet, 5900 John Deere Rd, Moline, IL [tinyurl.com]
Rally Time: 0800 hrs., PRB 0845 hrs., KSU Immediately to head to church (approximately 3 blocks) to establish our flag lines. NOTE: A contingent of bikes will depart Farm & Fleet at 0845 hrs to head to the funeral home and escort family and hearse to the church for services. Staging of vehicles for escort to R.I. National Cemetery will be accomplished immediately on arrival at the church prior to establishing our flag lines. Escort to R.I. National Cemetery will reverse route through Moline, back to the Iowa side to enter the Davenport entrance to Arsenal Island.

NOTE: Mandatory Safety Equipment Regulations (helmets, gloves, etc.) have been waived for entrance to R.I. Arsenal. However, don't push the issue. Arsenal staff has allowed us a lot of freedoms that they don't have to.

We have been invited by the family of SGT Schuyler Patch, KIA Afghanistan, to participate in all phases of honoring his service to this Great Nation. We will provide escort to Kewanee on arrival of Sgt. Patch. We will also provide Visitation/Funeral/Interment services and escort. LEO support is in place.

Rally Point: McNailer's (MacDonalds) by the QC Airport
Rally Time: 1200 hrs., PRB 1300 hrs., KSU 1310 hrs. to head to terminal and await Kalitta flight.

We have information from various local units, recruiters and support groups that numerous military personnel will be returning through QC Airport after returning from OIF/OEF and for Christmas Leave. Arrivals will be at all hours of the day and night. Some sort of parking arrangements will be made, as I seriously doubt that we will be able to use our normal parking lane the entire time.

I have to this point received three (3) solid requests. But as was the case with last year's 8, they got turned into 270 real fast. I am anticipating being at the airport from 0800-closing during the entire 6 days. Those that can lend some time to help Welcome Home troops at random during this time, please come whenever possible. Those that are only able to make the scheduled Welcome Homes, here's the information I have at this point.

Those that I have so far are as follows:

SATURDAY: 20 DEC 08
Pv2 Cyle Caffery (nephew of PGR member Neil Riede)
Rally Point: McNailers
Rally Time: 1315 hrs., PRB 1350 hrs., Head to the airport to establish or join the existing flag lines.

MONDAY: 22 DEC 08
Pv2 Andrew Hardy (coming home to become my son-in-law)
Rally Point: McNailers
Rally Time: TBA when I find out what flight he's on. He just finished AIT and has been transfered to Ft. Bragg to begin Airborne/Ranger School.

TUESDAY: 23 DEC 08
Marine Robb Kitchen
Rally Point: McNailers
Rally Time: 0945 hrs., PRB 1020 hrs., Head to the airport to establish or join existing flag lines. We will be escorting to Galesburg, where the family has invited us to join in a Welcome Home party at Northgate Lanes.

Ride Captains during the entire 6 days will be: Eric "Nailer" Swanson, Fred "Recall" Lue or Rev. Jim Olsen as schedules allow.
